Each year, volunteers make a tremendous difference at Lake Villa District Library. As a volunteer, you bring to LVDL your time, skills and dedication. And, as a member of the community, you are a reflection of the educational, informational and cultural needs and interests of your community. When you volunteer at the library you:

Who Volunteers?
LVDL volunteers come from all walks of life! If you love libraries, enjoy learning new things, and can give at least two hours per week, we'll do our best to find the right volunteer job for you! Training will be provided.
What Do Library Volunteers Do?
The Lake Villa District Library offers a variety of volunteer opportunities including:
- In-Library Support Services
Volunteers assist the staff with ongoing library tasks, including photocopying, cutting forms, and the million varied tasks that keep the Library running smoothly. Minimum age 13.
- Special Events
Assist with Book Sales, Special Programs on an as needed basis. Minimum age 13.
- Computer and Internet Coaches
With your computer expertise you can help teach library users how to access the Internet, type documents in WORD and send/receive Email. Minimum age 18.
- Homebound Delivery
Deliver books and other library materials to homebound patrons. Homebound deliveries are scheduled weekdays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Requires a valid driver's license and current car insurance. Police background check required. Must be 18 years of age or older.
