Organizations looking for volunteers and volunteers looking to give back will have the chance to meet at Lake Villa District Library’s Volunteer and Service Organization Recruitment Fair on Saturday, April 20 from 10am – 1pm.

Representatives from area non-profit organizations will be on hand to share information about their work and how individuals can help whether looking for a short-term project or long-term membership.

Lake Villa District Library is joining more than 20 libraries across the state of Illinois to host a special virtual event with former Illinois Representative Adam Kinzinger to discuss his bestselling memoir Renegade: Defending Democracy And Liberty In Our Divided Country. The book captures one of the most transformative periods in recent history in a personal account from inside Congress. An Evening with Adam Kinzinger will take place via Zoom on Thursday, February 29, at 7 p.m.

Lake Villa District Library is one of the distinguished recipients of the 2024 Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) Grants, awarded by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. This prestigious grant marks a significant achievement, as LVDL becomes the first public library ever to be honored with this award.
