LVDL Board of Trustees Moves Ahead With Outdoor Space Project

The Lake Villa District Library Board of Trustees has selected the first project of the library’s outdoor space plan: enhancing the hospitality and function of the main entrance area with the addition of seating and shaded areas.

The LVDL Board approved the outdoor space plan in May and then began prioritizing and selecting particular projects. Because so many people utilize the library’s many current seating options, adding more made the sense for the inaugural project.

Attend Library's Outdoor Space Plan Presentation

On Thursday, March 23 at 6:30pm, Hitchcock Design Group and Hay & Associates will present Lake Villa District Library’s Comprehensive Outdoor Space Plan.

Using feedback from area stakeholders and community members, HDG created a robust plan of various projects throughout the library’s property. Those who attend the presentation will have an opportunity to ask questions and offer feedback.

“This is an exciting time,” said library director Mick Jacobsen.  “We’re looking forward to sharing the plan with the community.”
