Adult Services Reference Associate
Lake Villa District Library is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused addition to our Adult Services team!
This part-time position provides direct support to the public to assure a positive library experience. Responsibilities include reference, readers advisory, technology assistance, collection development, and more.
Excellent communication and team skills are a must, as is comfort with technology. A healthy sense of humor is a definite plus!
This position reports to the Head of Adult Services and will collaborate with Adult Services staff, as well as staff in other departments.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with one year public library experience, OR
• LTA or Associate’s degree with two years of public library experience
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency with technology.
• Ability to work a schedule including evening and weekend hours.
• Access to transportation.
Hours
• Part-time, 16-18 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 5-9 PM.
• Additional weekend hours will be assigned on a rotating basis.
Salary
• $17.58/hour with benefits, including paid vacation, sick time and holidays.

Shelver - Part Time
Lake Villa District Library is seeking detail orientated individual for the Shelving Department.
This part-time position involves the primary responsibilities of maintaining and shelving all collections.
Keen knowledge of numeric and alphabetical order is a necessity.
This position reports to the Shelving Manager and will work in coordination with Circulation and staff in all departments.

• Schedule includes daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
• Access to transportation.
Salary
$11.00 /hour, plus benefits such as vacation, sick time , and holiday pay.
