Lake Villa District Library Launches Community Survey

As part of its long range planning process, Lake Villa District Library launched a community survey on Monday, January 25. The survey’s goal is to learn how the library can better serve area residents over the next three years. “We want to learn more about our community members and discover their aspirations for the area the library serves,” said library director Mikael Jacobsen. “The survey will help guide us in planning future programs and services.” Fast Forward Libraries, a project of Standerfer Consulting, will facilitate the planning process, which is expected to take approximately six months. The first phase of the project, the Learn phase, includes the community survey and public focus groups. “We are eager to learn from our community,” said Jacobsen. ”The community survey will run through the end of February, and community focus groups will begin in mid-March. Details are available at www.lvdl.org. Lake Villa District Library enriches life in our community by connecting people to information, resources and each other.
