Lake Villa District Library Outdoor Space Plan

At long last, Phase II of LVDL Outdoor Space Plan, the Great Lawn, is ready for visitors!  We invite you to explore the reading room, shaded patios, walking path, Monarch Butterfly Wayfinding Station,  performance pavilion and of course, the whimsical berm decorated as a Hobbit-inspired house.  Enter at the Book Arbor and follow the path. We hope you will enjoy the space for years to come.

Evolving from community feedback gathered during strategic planning in spring 2021, the LVDL Outdoor Space Plan is a series of 26 individual projects that will be completed over several years. Phase I, completed in October 2024, brought shade and extra seating to main entrance.
