Lake Villa District Library Expands Services
Study room use, expanded public computer sessions, in-library reading materials and public seating areas will be available when Lake Villa District Library expands services beginning Monday, May 10, 2021.
With the declining COVID-19 and increasing vaccination metrics in the library’s service area, library administration is confident this is the appropriate next step.
“We are thrilled to be expanding services,” said Library Director Mikael Jacobsen. “We can’t wait to see more people back in the building.”
Work to Begin on Library Walking Path
Construction will begin soon on an ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant walking path connecting Lake Villa District Library’s upper parking lot to the lake side of the building.
“Developing the green spaces has always been a component of our landscaping plan,” said Library Director Mikael Jacobsen. “And happily, one of the main takeaways from our recent community focus groups was the desire to use the green spaces. So, this a great step toward such usage.”
