Lake Villa District Library’s Annual After-Hours Event Set for Friday, February 20

Grapes & Growlers: A Night at the Library 2026, sponsored by the Lake Villa District Library Foundation, will take place Friday, February 20, from 7–9 p.m. Guests must be 21+ to attend. Admission is a $20 cover charge.

The evening’s entertainment features two-time Grammy-nominated (and Lindenhurst resident)  John Primer and The Real Deal Blues Band, performing two sets of soul-stirring blues music.

Lake Villa District Library to Launch Community Survey

Beginning Monday, January 5, 2026, the Lake Villa District Library will launch a Community Survey to gather input on priorities for the coming years.

Feedback from the 2021 community survey helped set the direction for the development of the library’s outdoor spaces, which is currently underway. “Ideas from our previous survey shaped the vision for improving the library’s property,” said Library Director Mick Jacobsen. “It wasn’t something the Board or I ever imagined.”

Galleria de Grimoire: The Photography of Michael Grimm on Display at Lake Villa District Library

Lindenhurst, IL — Lake Villa District Library is proud to feature Galleria de Grimoire, the photography of Michael Grimm, as its November–December Featured Artist. The exhibit showcases an eclectic mix of 35mm and digital images spanning several decades of Grimm’s work.

It’s PHOTOvember at Lake Villa District Library

Lindenhurst, IL — Lake Villa District Library is celebrating all things photography throughout the month of November with PHOTOvember.

A wide variety of programs are planned—everything from learning how to organize print photos to taking great photos with a smartphone, as well as participating in an Awkward Photo Party. Visitors will also find plenty of selfie stations and opportunities to enjoy the fun of a photo booth.
