“Avian Portraits” by Jeff Harold Photography Opens at Lake Villa District Library’s Featured Artist Exhibit

Lake Villa District Library is proud to announce Jeff Harold as the inaugural artist in its Featured Artist Exhibit space. Harold, a self-described "Generalist Photographer," has a diverse portfolio that includes landscapes, model portfolios, jazz musicians, and more. “Exploring new ways to approach a subject inspires me,” says Harold. “Creating small portfolios of ten images around a specific theme has been particularly rewarding.”

It’s LEGO-vember at Lake Villa District Library

Everything is awesome at Lake Villa District Library, especially if you are a fan of LEGO bricks. LEGO-themed programs and activities are planned throughout the month of November, including a display of three Frank Lloyd Wright buildings---the Robie House, the Laurent House and Still Bend---courtesy of Bricks & Minifigs, Kenosha.

Next Phase of Library’s Outdoor Space Plan Approved

Activity courtyards, an outdoor reading room and a performance pavilion are among the projects in Phase II of Lake Villa District Library’s Outdoor Space Plan which was simultaneously approved by the Library Board and the Village of Lindenhurst on, Monday, August 12.

“Obtaining approvals from the Village of Lindenhurst and the library board were key steps for the project,” said library director Mick Jacobsen. “It’s one step closer in becoming a haven the community can enjoy for years to come.”
